The Town of Wenham is preparing for Tropical Storm Henri. The current forecast calls for rainfall to begin in the early hours of Sunday, continuing through Monday evening. Total rainfall is predicted to be 3-6 inches with wind gusts reaching 40-70 miles per hour. The Town will have additional staff available through the duration of the storm to respond to emergencies. Residents are encouraged to take the following steps in preparation for Tropical Storm Henri:
- Bring all outside patio furniture, potted plants, bikes and toys indoors.
- Clear street storm drains and any clogged home rain gutters.
- Turn off propane tanks or any active natural gas connections to fire pits or outdoor grills.
- Test your sump pump and ensure you have direct access to other available water pumps.
- Move cars to higher ground if possible. Do not park under trees, power lines or in low-lying areas.
- Charge your cell phone and other electronic devices.
