Dear Wenham residents, employees, elected, and appointed officials,
Wenham finds itself in exceptional circumstances today with the resignation of two Selectmen. Be assured that all day-to-day functions of town government are continuing as usual with the current COVID precautions in place.
I, as the remaining Selectman, along with Interim Town Administrator Thomas Younger have already consulted with Town Counsel on a path forward to our Annual Town Meeting and the need for a Special Town Election. Additional announcements regarding the Special Town Election will be made shortly.
As no quorum is possible at Board of Selectmen meetings, there will be no votes taken, but meetings will continue on a weekly basis at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesdays to keep the public informed of ongoing business.
Specific questions can, as always, be addressed to the Board of Selectmen at gcheeseman@wenhamma.gov or the Interim Town Administrator at townadministrator@wenhamma.gov. Weekly updates will also be available on the town website.
Cooperation, positive attitude, and volunteerism will keep moving Wenham forward.
