The Hamilton-Wenham Senior Van Service
began operations on Monday, January 26, 2004 and provides
transportation to senior citizens and the handicapped five days a
week, Monday through Friday, between
9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. The van is wheelchair accessible.
Regular service will be provided to the
following locations:
- Banks
- Barbers & Hairdressers
- Beverly Hospital Campus
- Churches
- Council on Aging Centers
- Community Center in Hamilton
- Doctors' Offices
- Enon Village (meal service)
- Gordon College Bennett Center
- Lamson Hall (meal service)
- Hamilton-Wenham Public Library

- North Beverly Shopping Plazas
- Post Offices
- Railroad Station in Wenham
- Recreation Center in Hamilton
- Restaurants
- Stores/Malls
- Town Halls
- Voting Centers
Transportation to medical appointments
and meal service is given priority status.
Appointments for rides must be made by
calling the Senior Van Service Center. When leaving a message to
schedule a ride, please leave your name and a telephone number where
you may be reached to confirm the details of your trip. Please
schedule all rides at least 24 hours in advance. There is no fee
for the van service; however, a contribution of $1 per round trip will
be accepted. Please limit the use of the van to one round trip
per day. For those requiring personal assistance, a family
member, friend, or volunteer may also ride along. All riders
must use seat belts. When the Hamilton-Wenham Regional School
System is cancelled due to bad weather, the Van Service will also be
cancelled for that day. Riders for the day will be notified.
